Event Previews – Huge Web Timeline Release

We have another BIG product update for you. If you haven’t already read the previous web timeline update, read this first. Now that we have launched our next generation Web Timeline, we’ve started to introduce some MORE really cool features. The very first big feature is the new Event Previews. When you hover over any event a new popup is presented that shows an animated preview of the event right in this bubble. See the short video below.

Gone are the days where you have to click on every event to see what happened. Now with a quick hover you get a short event playback in a matter of secs. With the improvements we have made, the Event Preview loads really quickly and we hope this improves your experience and helps you find important events much more efficiently.

In addition to the image preview we simplified a few items:

• Pause/play – before it shaded over your entire camera view and left this giant pause button over the screen. Kind of defeated the purpose of reviewing video. In addition it will globally pause/play all video either with the button next to the calendar or if you click in the player itself.
• Improved navigation of the mouse over when you hover over an event – it’s tricky to navigate to a specific motion event. Still more room for improvement but we think it’s much better.

Starting today, Event Previews are slowly being rolled out as we monitor the progress. We are working on mobile now and hope to have an update for you soon. Not to mention a number of other improvements going forward. Make sure you’re subscribed for the latest updates at the bottom of this page.
