Capture Video in the Cloud with Foscam

Today we’re introducing a fantastic new feature for our Foscam users — the ability to capture recorded video when a motion event is detected. It might come as a surprise to many but most IP cameras are only able to FTP image clips (aka ‘snapshots’) to the cloud. There are very few cameras that will record video on motion then FTP that to a remote cloud storage location. Today, Foscam users have that option with Camcloud.

Here’s a quick FAQ on this feature.

– What cameras are supported? All H.264 Foscam cameras (FI98* model series).
– Where do I enable this?   Add your Foscam camera, then edit the settings for that camera. You’ll see an option to for Images, Video or Both. (see screenshot below).
– I’ve already created my Foscam camera and I don’t see the option?  If you don’t see the option for your Foscam H.264 (model FI98*) camera, then delete and re-add the camera to Camcloud. The option will then appear.
