Camcloud Targets Small Businesses with New Cloud Services for Axis IP Cameras
Cloud video monitoring service now offers all-new cloud features designed for the latest IP cameras from Axis
Camcloud™, a leading provider of cloud video monitoring services for homes and small businesses, today announced that it has introduced a major update to its cloud services for Axis cameras, including full 1080p support and access to a wider range of cloud storage options.
“As a leader and pioneer in the IP camera market, Axis Communications was the first IP camera brand supported by our platform,“ said Brendan Harrison, Camcloud CEO. “With this new release, we’ve introduced deeper support for the Axis line of cameras, allowing our small business customers to better leverage their Axis cameras with our cloud storage and services platform.”
The growth in adoption of IP cameras is enabling small businesses to use the cloud as a flexible option for monitoring their business and storing video footage safely offsite. Instead of using expensive network attached storage to store important video footage, a cloud-based solution provides easy setup, flexible storage options and an effective option to legacy solutions.
“With this latest release we are taking advantage of many more features offered by Axis cameras ,” said Dan Burkett, Camcloud CTO. “Now when users add an Axis camera to our platform, we automatically expose the available camera settings to our customer, whether it’s video resolution, motion detection options or pan-tilt support. The Axis programming framework makes it easy for companies like Camcloud to connect our platform to their devices.”
The Camcloud video monitoring service allows users to connect a wide range of cameras, including webcams and any IP camera that supports either the H.264 or MJPEG standard. Setup only takes a few minutes and users will have a full-featured video monitoring capability complete with cloud storage of their videos and images, live video viewing from any device and a rich mobile experience. The company offers a free plan and paid plans for as little as $6/month. Visit www.camcloud.com for details.
